Sodium Carboxymethyl cellulose Paper making Grade:
Carboxymethyl Cellulose(CMC),or Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose,is cellulose ether derived from natural fibres. It is white or light yellowish powder,having broad applications includes paper making, oildrilling, food, toothpaste, textile, etc.
In paper-making process,CMC has good compatibility to paper pulp and filling particles to improve the integral flexibility and increase strength grade.CMC is film former and is good in rheology control.It is premium surface sizing agent,paper strengthening agent,additive agent at wet end of paper machine,moisture retention agent,etc.
 
CMC functionality in Paper making
* Raise paper strength grade, increase paper smoothness, prevent fluff in paper surface and prevent paper dusting drop.
* High efficient surface sizing agent to improve paper strength and increase paper integral flexibility,to enable paper good printability.
*Premium wet ending additive agent to adjust Zate electric potential,increase the bonding force between pulp fibres,thus to increase paper inter-strength.
*Excellent rheology control in paper coating and moisture retention of the coating,to make paper neat and smoothness,give the coating excellent optical performance,opacity and sufficient surface intensity,increase paper endurance.
*Paper Strengthening agent and excellent compatibility.
* Promoting uniform pigment dispersions for uniform color in coloring the paper
 
Recommend dosage: typical addition level 0.4-0.8% against weight adjustable on the final designed purpose.

Carboxymethyl cellulose is a light cream to white free flowing powder or granulate, that readily dissolves in water to form clear, viscous solutions.
 
Our designated CMC are particularly suited for use as binders and provide high strength to the unfired substrate at relatively low addition levels whiel producing excellent plasticity,good suspensions,uniform slurries and low residue upon firing.
 
Our CMC is used as the most efficient binders,thickeners and stabilizers in ceramic glazing to provide:
 
* Assisting in the formulation of stable glaze suspensions
* Tailoring the flow and application to the situation
* Directly controlling the drying rate of the glaze as it is applied
* Increasing the mechanical strength of unfired glaze surfaces
* Promoting uniform pigment dispersions for uniform color
 
We recommend low to medium viscosity CMC with typical addition level 0.1-0.5% against weight depending on the final desired characteristics of the glaze.
 
Besides glazing,our CMC can be used in whole process during ceramic production.
 

Recommend addition: 0.5%-3.0% on total formulation adjustable depending on desired characteristic of final product
